Hagia Nicholas Church
Built in 1780 in a 370 sqm garden in central Bodrum, Saint Nicholas Church is in Carsi District, the old town area.
Though it became derelict over time, it is named after Saint Nicholas, patron saint of sailors, known as Nicholas of Bari / Nicholas of Myra.
Many churches and chapels dedicated to him exist on the Bodrum Peninsula.
From the early Bronze Age onward, Bodrum's geography connected eastern and western cultures, making it a living and developing region shaped by many civilizations.
